RESTORATION OF DAVID AT PIAZZALE MICHELANGELO

It has been there since the time of Florence Capital but a complete restoration, it had never had it. Thus, even the bronze copy of Michelangelo’s David, was subjected to structural, cleaning and consolidation intervention, which lasted a total of about six months. For this universal symbol of art, but also an emblem of Florence, we have witnessed a spectacular restoration, like the panorama that can be admired from the Piazzale itself. The intervention was realized thanks to the agreement between the Municipality and the Florentine maison Salvatore Ferragamo through Art Bonus. The entire set-up was instead curated by Cooperativa Archeologia and executed by Media Firenze Group.

Florence has a cultural artistic heritage of inestimable value and we firmly believe that its safeguarding is a priority and a duty for all of us, which is why RestArte is happy to contribute to the publicization of such initiatives.

THE RESTORATION OF THE BIANCONE

After two years of careful and complex restoration, you can once again admire the ancient splendor to which the Fountain of Neptune in Piazza della Signoria has been brought back. The most famous fountain in Florence returns to its triumphant appearance. Among the peculiarities of the works, it is certainly worth highlighting the complete renovation of the water system that in recent years had given problems and disappointments but today allows the activation of majestic water games. The scenarios that the designer Bartolomeo Ammannati had always imagined and wanted are therefore realized.

The restoration was possible thanks to the contribution of the maison Salvatore Ferragamo through bonus art. RestArte is happy to support these initiatives.
