La Nazione is a daily newspaper from Florence, distributed throughout Tuscany, Umbria and the Ligurian province of La Spezia with numerous local editions that roughly correspond to the various Tuscan and Umbrian provinces. It is one of the oldest Italian dailies: the first issue was released on 13 July 1859. It has always had a moderate-conservative orientation.
